More about Na Hrane Camp

Yesterday was our last day of camp.  Sigh.  All good things must end, eventually!

It started out with the launching of the rockets we had built all week long, and all were successful! Some of them flew further than others, some flew higher than others, but they all travelled at least some distance! I (Christina) made a rocket with a young guy and I was inwardly terrified that we would come dead last. But, my fears were for naught, as ours made it to the half way mark! Not a grand victory, but for me, it was something.

Then Bageta, the youth group/team from Nove Zamky took over.  They led worship, did a drama, a few games, some testimonies, one guy even rapped a couple songs he had written about Christ, and Boris shared the Gospel. It was a powerful time.  Many kids recommitted their lives to Christ, which was great to see!

For us as the Sala team, we really wanted to reconnect with the teens and build up the relationships we had with them.  Which was a good goal to set and it was achieved! Moreover, the kids had a great time.

Thank you for your prayers!

Please keep in prayer Tono and Maria, they are 2 kids that we have good relationships with, their brother drowned just about a month ago.  Since then, their family has moved away and we have lost contact with them.  Please pray for their family as they grieve, but also that they would remember what we taught them about Jesus.  Tono was one of the kids who came forward at the end of Youth Alpha to become a follower of Christ.
