Well, we have been in Canada now for 2 weeks, and it never ceases to amaze me at all the things that have changed since I was last here. Sometimes it feels that I am no longer at home here. But then, there are other times when it feels perfectly like home. In the past couple weeks, we have spent a lot of time with my siblings, which is something I obviously don't have the opportunity to do. It's been great to hang out with them and to do different stuff with them. Even just talking with them and finding out what kind of people they are now. It's been great for me too to see how James has been taken into my family. My grandpa was teaching him how to BBQ a steak Alberta style, and my brother is taking him to an Oilers game this week. It warms my heart.
But, I still think of all my friends in Slovakia, going on with life without us, and I miss them. I miss being a part of their lives from close up. So, while I enjoy this time with family and friends, I am also looking forward to going back to Slovakia and beginning our married life there together. - Christina
Christinka, we miss you too!! And at least a half of our friends are talking about you very often. And I remember the times with you. Now I am sorry that I couldn´t have been part of your Slovak wedding. I hope that we will spend some time together after you and James come back. I miss our skupinka!! Without you it is not like it was!!! But... enjoy your time in Canada becouse I am sure you will miss it on the trip home to Slovakia :)Katka
